Multilanguage files have been dropped from this release, however they will return in the next version with a menu system for selecting language. The list of added games is quite long as ScummVM has recently introduced support for a dozen or so adventure game engines, some of which have hundreds of supported titles (mostly fanmade interactive fiction). While these will eventually be added, the focus has been on commercially released titles as well as those which feature actual graphics. Unfortunately there is not a specific list of added games & fixes this time due to the massive shift in the way things have been handled. One of the larger changes is the merger of ScummVM & ResidualVM. This brings in 3D engine games such as Myst 3, Grim Fandango, Escape from Monkey Island, and The Longest Journey. The games have been split into two "platforms" within LaunchBox. Stable games are under ScummVM, while those that play but are still not fully implemented are in the ScummVM SVN platform. Notes: Holding Shift while clicking 'Add Game" will enable Mass Add, which will add all the games under that directory at once. ie: clicking mass add while in the alternate language folder will add all alternate language versions A daily build (CVS) version of ScummVM is needed to detect and run every 'working' game. There are many games included in this collection which are not fully playable currently, although daily builds add further support constantly. Consult the ScummVM Wiki (http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Main_Page) for a complete list of supported and future-supported games. Checking the changelog for the dailybuild is a good way to determine which games are actively being improved. * Some games are detected incorrectly. The Atari ST version of Bargon Attack for example is currently detected as an Amiga game. * Games with CD audio have been encoded to lossless flac. * All Touche game files were compressed to flac using the ScummVM Toolset. * Some AGI games are currently detected as unknown fanmade games. You can edit the title to the proper game in the game list. * Many Amiga games lack audio; this is a known bug in ScummVM. * Please report bugs to the ScummVM bug tracker rather than the forums or to me. Be sure to use the proper bug tracker format and to include all the relevant information. * Unless you'd like to get banned, don't go to the scummvm forum and ask for help running these games, or, if you must, don't tell them it's a download. * Portable versions of ScummVM (PSP, DS, iPhone, etc) are not fully compatible with all games, be sure to check specific compatibility lists for your platform. * Some games support Roland MT-32 Emulation. These versions have the MT-32 rom already copied to their directory. To change to general midi, or other emulated sound systems, simply edit the relevant game launcher. The files can be copied over your extracted ogg files for enhanced in-game music. Notes: Holding Shift while clicking 'Add Game" will enable Mass Add, which will add all the games under that directory at once. ie: clicking mass add while in the alternate language folder will add all alternate language versions A daily build (CVS) version of ScummVM is needed to detect and run every 'working' game. There are many games included in this collection which are not fully playable currently, although daily builds add further support constantly. Consult the ScummVM Wiki (http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Main_Page) for a complete list of supported and future-supported games. Checking the changelog for the dailybuild is a good way to determine which games are actively being improved. * Some games are detected incorrectly. The Atari ST version of Bargon Attack for example is currently detected as an Amiga game. * Games with CD audio have been encoded to lossless flac. * All Touche game files were compressed to flac using the ScummVM Toolset. * Some AGI games are currently detected as unknown fanmade games. You can edit the title to the proper game in the game list. * Many Amiga games lack audio; this is a known bug in ScummVM. * Please report bugs to the ScummVM bug tracker rather than the forums or to me. Be sure to use the proper bug tracker format and to include all the relevant information. * Unless you'd like to get banned, don't go to the scummvm forum and ask for help running these games, or, if you must, don't tell them it's a download. * Portable versions of ScummVM (PSP, DS, iPhone, etc) are not fully compatible with all games, be sure to check specific compatibility lists for your platform. * Some games support Roland MT-32 Emulation. You will be asked if you wish to use MT-32 when you launch the game. * I highly recommend reading the ScummVM read-me to familiarize yourself with the program and the relevant hot-keys. * The Broken Sword games do not list which language they are when mass adding. You will have to play them and add the language definition to the title manually if you want this distinction. ======================================================================
